The City of Big Lake is continuing to see severe levels of drought.
Because of this, the city’s wells are being pushed to their limits, water towers are getting to low levels, and the water plant is running the risk of not being able to keep up with demand. The city is now requiring Big Lake residents to only water their lawns every other day. If one’s address is an even number, only water on even days, and if one’s address is odd, only water on odd days. Failure to comply with the restrictions may result in fines.
“We need your help to make sure our water supply stays healthy and our community stays safe,” said Recreation and Communication Coordinator Corrie Scott. “Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!”
