Lost Ring Returned After 48 Years!

Back in 1972, Jim Zindler removed his Becker High School class ring while swimming near a bridge in Santiago. It was the last time he’d see his ring until last Sunday.

Jayden May came upon the ring near that same bridge this week while magnet fishing with her boyfriend. She brought the piece of jewelry home to show her family. Inside the band of the ring were the letters, “JZ”. The ring was in relatively good shape for being lost for nearly half a decade.

May’s father’s girlfriend, Kelsey Seeley utilized Facebook to get the word out on the lost ring and find its owner. Within days, it was identified as being Zindler’s ring and a reunion was planned immediately to get his treasured piece of history back to him.

Kelsey (and her boyfriend’s daughter, Jayden) were thrilled to be able to return the long lost treasure to its rightful owner. An interesting side note - Kelsey Seeley’s dad (Larry Seeley) and Jim Zindler happen to be first cousins.
