Christine Husom, an award-winning author from Minnesota, will speak and sign her books at the Sherburne History Center, Tues., August 9 at 2 p.m.

Husom is a Wright County author of a number of murder mysteries set in fictional counties in Minnesota. The Snow Globe Shop Mystery series is a collection of three books set in the fictitious community of Brooks Landing, Minnesota. A place, “where,” according to Husom, “bad guys demonstrate not everyone is ‘Minnesota Nice.’”

Husom also penned the Winnebago County Mysteries. A series of murder mysteries highlighting the procedural techniques of Sergeant Corinne “Corky” Aleckson and Detective Elton “Smoke” Dawes. With her most recent addition to the Winnebago County Mystery series: Death to the Dealers, she was honored to be a finalist in the Midwest Book Awards. Reviewers have described her latest work, Death to the Dealers as a “well-written, masterfully-plotted, and page-turning tale.”

On her website, Husom also promises a soon-to-be-released fourth mystery in the Snow Globe Shop series.
