Last week, Big Lake Twp. held its regular meeting as well as its annual reorganizational meeting. 

The reorganizational meeting assigns board members to committees within the community and roles on the board itself. The board also set hourly pay rates for the board members, staff, election judges, and set the gopher bounty (residents may receive two dollars per pair of gopher feet.)

In Other Business,the Board:

• Ratified a license agreement for a septic system with Vicki Barker;

• Heard information about future plans to increase broadband coverage in the township;

• Heard a report from the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.
