Big Lake HS hosts Career Fair

Big Lake High School hosted their Youth Apprenticeship & Career Fair last Thursday to the delight of many students.

Following the set up of the area by local nerchants, a welcome message was delivered at around 9:45 a.m. At 10:25 a.m., the fifth grade group A was invited to wander the room and talk to vendors until lunchtime at a little after 11.

Following lunch, freshmen and fifth graders from group B attended and at 12:45, the seniors and sophomores had their chance to visit. From 2 p.m. to 3:20 p.m, juniors and eighth graders got their chance to pay a visit to the local business representatives.

Ninety presenters were in attendance to share information about career pathways with students. Local law enforcement had vehicles and booths to help students explore careers in emergency services. Life Link was also there with a helicopter to help students learn more about careers in medical transportation.

Lisi Medical Remmele and Premier Marine sponosred the lunches for the day.
